Blog installations
Blogs are a type of website. They provide a quick and simple way for you to get your business online and in front of qualified prospects and customers fast. They are built to make frequent (in some instances daily) updates as easy as typing.
Unlike old fashioned websites, you can set one up a blog yourself (yes you can) for free through many web hosts in just a few minutes. This bare-bones instant installation is not complete, however. You must add the functionality you need (through free or paid plugins usually), adjust the settings to suit your marketing needs and add the content that makes it yours. Completing these steps can take hours or days depending on your familiarity with Wordpress (the blog platform I recommend and use).
Basic blog installation:
I can handle all the technical aspects of your blog installation including the essential plugins and administrative settings that will get you off to a good start with the search engines and your customers. You just email me all the content you want on your starting pages and posts including images, videos, etc. and I’ll take care of the rest.
Turnkey blog installation:
If you would like me to jumpstart your blog, I’ll take the information you provide in our planning interview and use that to create the first pages (About, Contact, and Terms of Service and Privacy) and posts (usually two) to get you started. I’ll do some basic keyword research and use the results to help ensure that your new online business home will be easily used when found by human and search engine visitors.
I also go beyond “onpage” installation to provide some of the first “offpage” linking and promotion steps that could lead to front page search engine rankings and thousands of daily visitors. Though I will never guarantee you will achieve a certain search engine ranking, using my start-up methods, I can get your site indexed (so potential customers can find you) within days and sometimes even hours without using costly PPC advertising.
Additional customization:
Sometimes you’ll find the perfect theme for your blog, but it needs to be tweaked a bit. Or you need a custom header. Some Wordpress “themes” (as designs are called) can be heavily customized while others can’t be changed much at all. As we talk we may determine you need design customizations (a custom header or color) or functional customizations (to add your audios and videos for example).
