Help an AI agent ACT on your site
An Agent Readiness Action is a set of small, machine-readable files that tell an AI agent what your business can do for them specifically and how to ask for it, so they can build a request for a quote or proposal on behalf of their user.
Where this fits
An AI agent moves through your funnel just like a buyer does
The problem
AI agents have the same task needs as humans
The needs and goals of a visitor haven't changed. Whether they are human or an agent sent on behalf of a human, your visitor still needs your site to help them discover your products or services and determine whether they should buy from you instead of someone else.
But 42% of your buyers are beginning their search in an AI chatbox instead of a search engine. Humans are sending AI agents to your site to compare products and services, to pull specs, or to get quotes for them to evaluate before they visit a single site.
If an AI agent can't perform those actions on your site, they'll move on to one where they can. And you'll never even know they tried and failed.
Website stoppers
Your website is full of landmines for agents
Images, JavaScript, marketing jargon, product specs and attributes revealed only in a phone call with Sales: your whole internet sales process is a field of landmines to AI agents.
Everything I spell out in an Audit or Roadmap is designed to make their journey as fast and effortless as possible. Even if we've acted on every step, from helping them find your most important content to ensuring they can understand and trust what they find, you could still find yourself stopped just short of a sale.
Your quote form often sits behind a CAPTCHA built to keep bots out, and to that system an agent is a bot. Its rules often live in JavaScript, and the major AI crawlers do not run JavaScript at all. And nothing on the page tells the agent what a valid request even is.
A salesperson can rescue a vague inquiry with a phone call: "I'll need the phase and the enclosure rating." An agent cannot. A human tolerates ambiguity. An agent needs structure, up front, in a form it can read.
See it concretely
How an agent discovers and acts on your site
Actions publishes one front-door file, built to the new Agentic Resource Discovery standard (Google and the Linux Foundation, June 2026). An AI agent — or the registries that index the agent web — reads it first, then follows it to everything else, and can confirm it is really you because the files live on your own domain.
What you build & quote
Your capability envelope, so an agent knows you can make the thing before it even asks.
Quote-request contract
Exactly what an agent must send to get an accurate quote, drawn from your own form.
Quote API endpoint
A direct, agent-callable submit. Documented now, wired live as an optional next step.
Anchored by domain-verified identity — a registry can confirm the catalog is genuinely yours before any agent connects.
Validated before delivery: an agent composed a complete, contract-valid quote request from this exact setup.
What an agent needs to ask you for
The contract spells out the information a buyer's agent has to supply — and it looks different depending on what the buyer is doing: getting a price, or sourcing a solution.
Example: a Request for QuoteRFQ · price a known spec
The buyer knows what they want and needs a price. To return one without a phone call, you need the agent to tell you, in a form you can read:
- What the product is — the type and class (for a maker like Elsco, a dry-type transformer)
- Its defining specifications — the handful of parameters that actually change the price: power rating, input and output voltage, how it is wired
- Delivery requirements — quantity, and how fast they need it
- Who is asking — company and contact, so you can respond
Your Action publishes this as a contract, so the agent sends one complete, valid request instead of abandoning a form it cannot read.
Example: a Request for ProposalRFP · source a solution
A proposal is bigger than a price. When the buyer is describing a need rather than a part number, the agent has to assemble:
- The problem to solve — the outcome they want, not just a model number
- Scope and requirements — what is in, what is out, constraints, standards to meet
- Evaluation criteria — how they will choose: price, lead time, support, track record
- Timeline and budget range
- Who is asking — and how they want to be responded to
The same machine-readable approach tells an agent what a complete proposal request looks like for your business — so you make the shortlist before a human ever picks up the phone.
What Actions is
We build the files agents will use
We take what is already on your site and produce a small set of drop-in files, built on open standards, that let an AI agent do four things it cannot do today:
- FFind you through discovery files that point agents to what matters
- UUnderstand you through structured records that turn a page exposing three facts into one exposing the full spec
- TTrust you through structured proof and one consistent machine-readable identity
- UAct on you through a published contract an agent can complete, instead of a form it abandons
No rebuild. No new software. No backend changes. It works with any AI agent that respects open standards, not one vendor's platform. You own every file. Install once, keep forever.
To be truly ready for a web where AI agents outnumber human visitors, your business will need to operate on three layers:
- Layer one is your visual website, for people and for search.
- Layer two is HTML code and structured data; facts marked up so machines read them correctly.
- Layer three is the new one: a machine-readable place where an agent can discover your full specification catalog, what it has to provide to request a quote, and how to submit that request.
This third layer is the plug your buyer's agent was looking for. Almost no one has built it yet, giving you a first-mover advantage.
How it works
A four-step process with just one checkpoint for you
Every step is built to remove the work and the risk that usually stall a project like this.
Fit check
One question confirms Actions is built for how you sell, so you never pay to find out it was the wrong fit.Five minutes
We do the digging
We pull your specs from your own site and datasheets ourselves and auto-derive about 70% of what is needed. This is the step that usually buries the client, and we take it off your plate. You do not face a long blank form.No time from you
One confirmation call
A short call with your sales or engineering lead confirms the specs we pulled and fills the handful of gaps only your team knows. This replaces the open-ended form that lets projects disappear for weeks, so momentum holds.Twenty to thirty minutes, the only time we need from you
Build, validate, deliver
We generate and QA every file, and we prove an agent can compose a valid request before we hand it over, so you are not taking our word that it works. Everything lands in your private portal with a plain-English deploy guide. You own all of it.
Pricing
One fee. You own the result
Scoped to the number of product lines you want made machine-readable.
